Vicky gets started in Wales

Pembrey circuit in Wales was the location for the first rouund of the Formula Woman Championship. Vicky Lloyd (23 of St.Albans) who was one of 16 chosen from 4000 other hopefulls to drive in the only all women motor racing Championship now stands 3rd in the Championship. In the team Championship Vicky and team mate Kirsty Jeffrey find themselves leading after the first round. Vicky had two brilliant races as can be seen from the report below and finished 3rd on the podium in the first race which was incredably wet. Vicky was 5th in the second race after a real battle and lost 4th on the last lap when Nikki Welsby got a slip stream from her and powered her way over the line. Vicky said "I am very happy with the points I have scored this weekend and it puts me in a great position for the rest of the Championship". Vicky would like to thank Key people recruiting professionals for sponsoring her through this event and is still looking to raise some of her budget for the championship. Vicky will next race at Mallory Park on the 13th August and feels confident that she will finish on the podium again. Vicky states "Mallory will be an interesting race as it is the circuit where my Dad broke his neck, I am hoping that my family and friends will be there to support me". << back to news
